PODCAST

 

Me and my colleague, created a sound rich story for adult learners to have fun while they are listening to it. The content of our story is based on a chain of fictional events which emerged from a murder situation. We shaped our story from the main character’s, Marilyn Yorkshire, point of view. She is a young, successful, and ambitious detective who tries to solve the case which happens in the story.

Although, we had so much fun, we had some difficulties in the process of producing the story. We enjoyed a lot, because it was different from what we do usually as a homework, and this task provided us to highlight and improve our creativity. In addition to this, we get involved into task unlike other facial projects.

On the other hand, being involved into this task came with some obstacles with it. Such as acting and role-playing inside of the story, was something that we never experienced before, but it pushed us to stay creative the whole time. I would definitely give this task to my future students, because of the reason that it makes them think and produce something with the target language while they are having lots of fun.
